How It All Started
Ever since my teenage years, when I first had the opportunity to travel abroad, I’ve always embraced the chance to visit a new country to experience that feeling of adventure.
Trying new foods, exploring hidden spots where tourists don’t usually go – that’s what excited me the most. Package tours have never been my thing, I’ve always preferred to explore on my own and make the most out of every penny.
This passion only grew as more opportunities to travel opened up, and so I made sure to travel as much as possible.
The more I explored, the more I realized how much there is to discover beyond the typical tourist experience – and that’s what kept me coming back to Europe time and time again.
In recent years
After the war in Ukraine began, my husband and I started to search for a new place to call home, moving across Europe from one location to another. It wasn’t a journey of discovery for travel, but one for a fresh start.
We found it in two very different places – Tenerife, where we are building a home, and Tallinn, Estonia, a city we fell in love with on a visit and decided to make our base for part of the year.
People often ask how these two places go together. While they are worlds apart, for us, they complement each other in their own special way.
While we spend time in both Tenerife and Tallinn, we have also lived in Turkey, mainland Spain, and Slovakia, and travel extensively across Europe.
There is always something new to uncover as European continent is full of endless discoveries. No matter how much time you spend here, there’s always more to explore.
It’s for this reason that I like to write about Europe in detail – because every trip offers a new experience, a fresh perspective, and new chance to discover something previously unknown.
When I travel
I don’t just visit the well-known attractions. In fact, I quickly check off the main sights and then go deeper, seeking out those hidden corners that many tourists overlook.
I make it a point to research in depth before each trip – hours spent reading blogs, scrolling social media, and checking local websites.
But real magic happens once I’m on the ground. I visit info centers, talk to locals, and wander through neighborhoods to uncover what remians hidden.
While I do enjoy walking the streets, taking in the sights, and absorbing the atmosphere of a new place, what truly excites me are the experiences that best represent the soul of a destination.
They help to get a feel for the culture, history, and essence of a place – whether it’s through its food, its people, or unique local activities.
And this is the foundation for all the guides and tips I share on this blog – I want to give you insights that go beyond the typical travel guides.

I also love hiking and visiting places with hot springs just as much as staying in luxurious hotels surrounded by wild nature. That’s why I share all of this here too – my favorite hiking routes, scenic drives, relaxing hot springs, and exclusive hotels I’ve had the pleasure to stay in!
